Welcome to Valdez Lawn Care in Fresh Meadows, Queens, NY. I’m Carlos Valdez. I come from a family who’ve been in the lawn care and landscaping business for over 30 years in Queens County, NY.
I got my start in lawn care through my uncle, who is my mentor. When I was in my 20s, I started working for my uncle by pulling weeds for his lawn service accounts.
Little by little, my uncle taught me how to work hard and how to run a lawn care business.
My uncle told me, “If a customer is happy, you are happy.”
I worked hard for his lawn care business until he gave me my start at my own lawn service. Later on, my uncle became busy with his commercial clients that he needed help with his residential customers.
So, my uncle asked me to provide lawn care for 12 residential accounts while he transformed his lawn maintenance business that was moving toward a commercial lawn service.
